A Russian Tu-95 strategic bomber crashed during a training flight in the Far Eastern Amur region, killing six crew members and injuring another, Russia's Defence Ministry said. The aircraft went down in an uninhabited area near Krasnoyarovo shortly after taking off from the Ukrainka air base and was not carrying ammunition, according to the ministry. Authorities have opened an investigation, with preliminary assessments pointing to a possible technical malfunction. The crash has drawn attention to Ukrainka because the base sheltered surviving Russian strategic bombers following Ukraine's June 2025 Operation Spiderweb, which the Ukrainian SBU said damaged or destroyed more than 40 aircraft. There is currently no evidence linking the crash to a Ukrainian attack. #russia, #tu95, #russianbomber, #nuclearbomber, #russiaukrainewar, #ukrainewar, #ukrainka, #amur, #krasnoyarovo, #spiderweb, #russianmilitary, #strategicbomber, #militarynews, #worldnews, #breakingnews, #russiamilitary, #warnew
