Algeria fought back from a nightmare start to draw 2-2 with Burundi, staying unbeaten in Group I. The hosts struck twice in the first 12 minutes, an own goal from Farès Chaïbi and a finish from Jean Girumugisha, before Mohamed El Amine Belloumi pulled one back in the 30th minute. Despite losing Himad Abdelli to injury before half-time, Algeria kept pressing and Adil Boulbina’s 63rd‑minute strike sealed the comeback.
