A Flydubai flight travelling from Dubai to Tel Aviv made an emergency landing at Tabuk airport in Saudi Arabia after transmitting emergency signals while flying over the kingdom. The aircraft first sent code 7700, indicating a general emergency, before transmitting 7500, the international code for hijacking or unlawful interference. Israeli fighter jets were reportedly scrambled and senior officials held emergency consultations. Israeli security sources later indicated that the alert may have been triggered by an altercation between the pilots.
