In a joint operation, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) intercepted an Iranian dhow carrying about 526 kg of high-grade heroin and methamphetamine in the Arabian Sea west of Lakshadweep, officials said on Wednesday. Acting on a tip-off, Coast Guard units mounted coordinated sea-air surveillance, maintained sustained tracking of the suspicious vessel and subsequently launched a hot pursuit before boarding the dhow. According to the ICG, five Pakistani nationals operating the vessel were apprehended. The dhow, its crew and the seized contraband, estimated to be worth more than ₹3,000 crore in the international illicit market, were subsequently brought to Mumbai under armed escort for joint interrogation and further multi-agency investigation. #indiancoastguard #drugs Important Playlists National News: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLK5e1a2965YXb9Oh62yur4MRCdRLL6gCt Business News: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLK5e1a2965YVXM88o
