Protests at high schools have continued across France, after days of school blockades. The student protests began in the Île-de-France region last week, and had spread to about 180 schools across the country by September 28th. Student protesters have criticised the lack of an adequate number of teachers and staff in schools, as well as overcrowded classrooms and run-down buildings. The high schools union, L'Union syndicale lycéenne (USL), called for nationwide protests on September 29th, joining a day of strike action by public sector workers in France. #france #protests #schools #education • Subscribe to ITV News on YouTube: http://bit.ly/2lOHmNj • Get breaking news and more stories at http://www.itv.com/news Follow ITV News on TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@itvnews?lang=en Follow ITV News on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/itvnews/ Follow ITV News on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/itvnews/ Follow ITV News on X: https://twitter.com/itvnews
