Kiran Pahal, M.R. Poovamma, Prachi Choudhary and Vithya Ramraj made history at the 2026 Asian Games, winning gold in the women’s 4x400m relay and giving India its first athletics gold of the Games. But behind that gold is a long list of sacrifices. Speaking exclusively to Firstpost’s Sports Editor Rupha Ramani, the quartet opens up about spending long periods away from home, missing their families and craving home-cooked food, and the life they have given up in pursuit of representing India. They also speak about how their journey can inspire the next generation of young athletes to take up sport and dream of representing India. --- India Women 4x400m Relay | India 4x400m Relay | India Relay Gold | Asian Games | Asian Games Gold | India Asian Games | Women’s 4x400m Relay | Kiran Relay | Machettira Poovamma | Prachi Relay | Vithya Ramraj | India Athletics | Indian Athletes | India Track And Field | 4x400m Relay Gold | India Gold Medal | Asian Games Athletics | Women’s Relay India | Fi
