South Korean President Lee Jae Myung led a ceremony on Thursday marking the 78th Armed Forces Day at the military headquarters in Gyeryongdae, as Seoul showcased advanced military equipment and reiterated its focus on strengthening national defence. The event featured around 3,600 personnel and 70 pieces of military equipment, including newly unveiled laser-based anti-drone systems, AI-powered drone swarms and unmanned ground vehicles. Lee also called for practical measures to reduce military tensions with North Korea and invited Pyongyang to restore trust and resume dialogue. The ceremony came amid heightened tensions following a recent mine blast in the Demilitarized Zone that injured South Korean soldiers. #southkorea, #armedforcesday, #leejaemyung, #southkoreamilitary, #northkorea, #koreapeninsula, #militarynews, #defense, #defence, #asiapacific, #worldnews, #breakingnews, #geopolitics, #militarypower In this Times Now World News report, we break down the this topic: Stay conn
