Justin Verlander and his daughter Genevieve shared an emotional moment when Genevieve ran out to the mound to hug her dad during his final Major League Baseball game before retirement. Verlander says that it was a genuine reaction, since Genevieve's run out to the field was a surprise coordinated by Tigers manager A.J. Hinch and Verlander's wife Kate Upton. "She ran so fast. It was so cute, and that's how we hug each other, you know. It's just a full embrace."
