What if getting more from AI begins with admitting where humans fall short? Drawing on her experience in medical research, Sonja Aits explores how the limits of human memory, attention and speed can slow scientific discovery — and how AI can extend what researchers are able to understand. Within clear moral boundaries, she argues that knowing when to cede control to AI could accelerate progress while freeing us to rethink what gives humans value in the first place. Sonja Aits is an AI research leader, TechBio founder, advisor and educator developing AI systems for life sciences and healthcare. With a background in medical research, her work explores how artificial intelligence can help scientists navigate complexity, accelerate discovery and extend the limits of human analysis. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
