A museum exhibition called Tombs of the Pharaohs has opened in Cairns, featuring 450 museum-grade replicas of ancient Egyptian artefacts and 11 recreated pharaoh tombs complete with hieroglyphs and treasures. The replicas were produced in Egypt by 650 workers under Egyptian government oversight, allowing visitors to experience ancient Egyptian civilisation without moving priceless antiquities around the world.
