The Saudi-Houthi conflict is escalating once again — with sniper operations, missile and drone interceptions, renewed fighting across Yemen, and a disputed attack on infrastructure in the holy city of Medina. New footage released by Houthi military media claims to show Houthi snipers targeting Saudi-backed forces along the Jizan border. The footage and claims of effectiveness have not been independently verified. Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, says it intercepted two ballistic missiles and four drones launched towards southern Saudi Arabia on October 1, including attacks over Khamis Mushait and Jizan. The escalation is also being felt inside Yemen. Fighting has intensified across Taiz and other fronts, while both sides continue to trade accusations over airstrikes and military operations.
