Taiwan has received the first two of 66 new F-16V Block 70 fighter jets ordered from the United States, marking a major step in strengthening its air force amid continued Chinese military pressure around the island. The advanced fighters arrived at Chihhang Air Base in Taitung after months of delays. Equipped with upgraded radar, avionics and weapons systems, the new F-16Vs are intended to bolster Taiwan’s ability to respond to China’s increasingly capable air force, including its J-20 stealth fighters. The arrival comes about a week after U.S. President Donald Trump met Chinese President Xi Jinping in Washington. More F-16Vs are expected to arrive as Taiwan continues to expand its air combat capabilities. #taiwan #china #f16 #f16v #us #trump #xijinping #taiwanchina #usChina #fighterjets #chinesemilitary #taiwanmilitary #j20 #worldnews Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
