An alleged Russian plan to cripple Ukraine’s energy infrastructure this winter has been detailed in a document obtained by the New York Times. According to the report, the plan envisages a campaign involving up to 1,000 missiles, drones and bombs targeting Ukraine’s power and water infrastructure. It reportedly lays out three stages: targeting substations linked to electricity imports from Europe, striking hydroelectric plants and attempting to force Ukraine’s three operating nuclear plants offline by hitting electrical switchyards connecting them to the grid. Kyiv, Kharkiv and Odesa are highlighted as major targets, with the document reportedly outlining severe disruptions to electricity, heating, water and sewage systems. The New York Times said it could not independently authenticate the Russian-language document, and it remains unclear whether Moscow will carry out the strategy described in it. #russia #ukraine #putin #ukrainewar #russiaukrainewar #kyiv #kharkiv #odesa #ukraineene
