China's next-generation "artificial sun" project has reached a major construction milestone: the main complex of the BEST fusion facility is complete in Hefei, Anhui Province. The facility is designed to replicate the nuclear fusion reactions that power the sun, aiming to advance research into fusion as a potential source of clean energy. More than half of the overall construction work has been completed, and the project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2027.
