Police in the UK said they arrested a British-Iranian citizen on suspicion of planning a terror attack following a security incident at a U.S.-run air base. Authorities said the 27-year-old was taken into custody Thursday in Central London. Another British national was also questioned by police but not arrested. Five men who were detained near RAF Fairford this past weekend were later released on bail. The air base has been used by American bombers in the war against Iran. Prime Minister Andy Burnham said Wednesday that he sees “strong indications” that Iran is linked to the incident, though Tehran has denied involvement.
