Moldovan President Maia Sandu has warned that Russia will remain a major source of instability in Europe even after the war in Ukraine ends. Speaking alongside Finnish President Alexander Stubb at the Helsinki Security Forum, Sandu cited alleged Russian hybrid warfare against Moldova, including political interference, cyberattacks, disinformation, energy pressure and repeated airspace violations. She said seven or eight Russian drones had violated Moldovan airspace in the previous week and called for stronger European defences, faster EU enlargement and a central security role for Ukraine.
