Martin Manglona is one of the most distinguished CHamorro soldiers to serve in the US military. But despite his acts of bravery during the Vietnam War, his recommendation for the Congressional Medal of Honour was downgraded due to discrimination. However, a grassroots campaign is seeking to rewrite the service records for Manglona and other sons of the Marianas. ‘The Pacific’ is hosted by Johnson Raela and Alice Lolohea. #ABCThePacific Watch The Pacific on ABC Australia or on ABC iView: https://iview.abc.net.au/show/pacific Like ABC Pacific on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ABCPacific Follow ABC Pacific on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/abcpacific/ For more from ABC Pacific news, click here: https://www.abc.net.au/pacific Subscribe: https://ab.co/3yqPOZ5 Note: In most cases, our captions are auto-generated. #ABCNewsIndepth #ABCNewsAustralia
