Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by phone on Saturday with Indian FlyDubai Captain Smit Machchhar, who is recovering after being attacked by his co-pilot during a flight carrying 182 people. Machchhar told Netanyahu that the co-pilot attacked him from behind while he was looking toward the front of the cockpit, leaving his vision blurred as the aircraft began descending sharply. The captain said he made a final effort to reach the cockpit door and regain control, after which others helped take over the aircraft. Netanyahu praised Machchhar’s courage and judgment under what he described as impossible conditions. The co-pilot was identified by people familiar with the case as an Omani national, while investigations continue into his motives and whether he had any extremist connections. #flydubai #flydubaiattack #flydubaiflight #indianpilot #smitmachchhar #netanyahu #israel #india #cockpitattack #pilot #aviation #aviationnews #flightemergency #midairattack #dubai #oman #mi
