Air raid sirens echoed across Kyiv during an exclusive interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, underscoring the immediate threat as he vowed to double down on strikes targeting Russian oil refineries. Speaking from the presidential offices, Zelenskiy disclosed intelligence revealing a "new doctrine" authorized by Vladimir Putin to strike Ukrainian energy, logistics, and civilian infrastructure—aimed at forcing residents to evacuate major urban centers ahead of winter. Zelenskiy made clear that Kyiv will retaliate by striking Russia's financial engine—its oil refining industry—while maintaining strict rules of engagement to avoid civilian targets. The Ukrainian leader also provided progress updates on "Operation Vivaldi," Ukraine's counteroffensive in the Donbas region, as well as advancements in domestic ballistic missiles, including the long-range FP-9. #Ukraine #Zelenskyy #RussiaUkraineWar #OilRefineries #OperationVivaldi #Kyiv #AirRaidAlert #Reuters #WorldNew
