North Korea fired a ballistic missile towards the sea after rejecting South Korea's demand for an apology over mines that Seoul said seriously wounded three South Korean soldiers in the Demilitarized Zone. The missile, launched from the Wonsan area, flew more than 700 km towards the East Sea, according to South Korea. Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, later said Pyongyang had tested an intermediate-range strategic missile and claimed it could alter its flight path at low altitude using artificial intelligence technology. The claims have not been independently verified. South Korea, the United States and Japan are monitoring the situation as tensions rise on the Korean Peninsula. #northkorea #kimjongun #kimyojong #southkorea #seoul #pyongyang #missile #ballisticmissile #missiletest #korea #koreanpeninsula #dmz #eastsea #japan #usa #us #geopolitics #worldnews #breakingnews #military #war #asiapacific #timesnowworld Stay connected with Times Now World for rea
