The Mail on Sunday has reported claims that critics of Reform UK posed as supporters to secure places in the BBC Question Time audience before challenging Reform panellists on air. The BBC says it does not recognise that account. The allegation has renewed questions about how the programme selects its audience. It follows a recent Question Time appearance in which Suella Braverman challenged the audience’s political balance, and has prompted a Reform source to call for the TV licence fee to be scrapped. The Kent council leader, who previously worked for the BBC, says she has long believed Question Time audiences are hostile to Reform, arguing that the broadcaster has changed since her time there and supports replacing the licence fee. Duncan Barkes speaks with Reform UK’s leader of Kent County Council, Linden Kemkaran. Have you got a story?
