The attempted mass shooting at the synagogue in Belleville, Ontario was terrifying. But right wing media and the Israeli lobby quickly exploited the shooting to distort what actually happened. They portrayed the attack as a threat to Israel an smeared denounced people speaking up about the Gaza genocide. The shooter had nothing to do with Gaza or Palestinian issues. He was a far right conspiracy extremist.
