On this week’s “In Focus,” NY1’s Cheryl Wills goes one on one with City Council Speaker Julie Menin to look ahead to the 2030 Census and discuss what’s at stake for New York City. Menin explains why the city is beginning its preparations years early and how census numbers affect funding for more than 300 programs. Wills also leads a roundtable with Emely Paez of United Way of New York City, L. Joy Williams of the NAACP New York State Conference and Jeffrey Wice of New York Law School on the risks of an undercount, the challenge of building trust in historically undercounted communities and the broader impact on resources and political power. #NY1 #NYC #News -------- For more on this and the latest NYC news: http://specne.ws/NY1YT Watch live news: http://specne.ws/YTliveSN Get the Spectrum News App on all your favorite devices: http://specne.ws/GetSNApp2
