The U.S. has withdrawn all B-1 bombers from Britain’s RAF Fairford following a major security scare and allegations of an Iran-backed plot targeting the strategic airbase. The withdrawal came after police discovered suspicious vans, masked men and petrol near the facility, which has served as an important U.S. military base in Europe. British authorities said there were strong indications that Iran was involved in the incident, while Tehran has categorically denied the allegations and accused Britain of relying on unverified claims. The Pentagon has confirmed that the American bombers deployed to RAF Fairford have now returned to their home stations in the United States. The unusual move has raised fresh questions over security at the base and the wider risks surrounding the ongoing U.S.-Iran conflict. #us #iran #raffairford #b1bomber #usairforce #britain #uk #iranwar #military #pentagon #airbase #securityscare #iranthreat Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily
