How can the chemistry that transformed modern life also help us build a healthier future? Obstetrician-gynecologist and reproductive medicine specialist Nikos Christoforidis explores the often invisible relationship between our chemical environment and reproductive health. From endocrine-disrupting chemicals and microplastics to air pollution, he examines how substances embedded in everyday life may affect the human body and fertility, often through long-term exposure we barely notice. Yet his message is not about rejecting chemistry. Modern medicine, technology and many of the advances that define our quality of life depend on it. Instead, Nikos calls for greater awareness, better prevention and a more responsible approach to how chemicals are designed, evaluated and used. Progress, he argues, does not require less chemistry it requires safer, more responsible chemistry that places human and environmental health at its core.
