Yemen’s internationally recognised government says its forces have taken control around the strategic Bab al-Mandeb Strait and recaptured a nearby airport in Dhubab during a major offensive against the Houthis. The Saudi-led coalition says more than 100 fighter jets took part in “Operation Dawn of Yemen”, hitting more than 300 high-value targets while providing round-the-clock air support to Yemeni forces on the ground. The escalation has also spilled into Saudi Arabia, with the Houthis launching missiles and drones at targets inside the kingdom, while Saudi forces have intensified strikes on Houthi-held areas of Yemen. Yemen’s government says the wider offensive ultimately aims to retake Houthi-held territory, including the capital Sanaa. Claims surrounding the latest battlefield advances remain contested. #yemen #houthis #babelmandeb #redsea #saudiarabia #taiz #sanaa #yemenwar #middleeast #worldnews Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
