I’m using Muddskip drywall additive to fix a badly finished, wavy drywall ceiling and get it back to a smooth, level finish. Muddskip lets me apply multiple coats wet-on-wet once the mud is dry to the touch, which means I can build out low spots, skim coat the ceiling and keep working without the usual wait between coats. In this repair, I’ll show you how I find the high and low spots, fix loose drywall, use a laser to straighten the ceiling line and apply a final skim coat with as little sanding as possible. If you’re dealing with an uneven ceiling, bad drywall finishing or a ceiling that needs a Level 5 finish, this is a much faster way to get it looking right.
