Corporal Brendan Hannam, a 28-year-old father of two, was killed during a training exercise at the Mt Bundey Training Area in the Northern Territory when a troop carrier rolled over. Five other soldiers were injured in the incident and airlifted to Darwin, with two remaining in Royal Darwin Hospital in stable condition. This marks the second deadly ADF training exercise in 2024 and adds to the Army's concerning record of vehicle-related fatalities during training operations.
