Fighting around Taiz is raising fresh concerns over the security of Yemen’s key Red Sea approaches. Multiple reports claimed that Houthi fighters have encircled hundreds of Saudi-backed fighters in Yemen’s third-largest city after cutting a key supply route linking Taiz with Aden. The development could put government-aligned forces under growing pressure as fighting intensifies across the region. Attention is also turning towards the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait, amid unverified claims of French military activity near the waterway involving an A330 MRTT tanker aircraft. France has confirmed a military presence around the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, including naval assets involved in protecting commercial shipping. The latest developments could raise concerns over a wider escalation around one of the world’s key maritime routes. #Yemen #Taiz #Houthis #Ansarallah #BabAlMandab #RedSea #France #YemenWar #MiddleEast #Shipping #Geopolitics Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling Engl
