On Fox Sunday, Todd Blanche told host Shannon Bream that there was nothing new or troubling about the Trump DOJ's plan to send more than 1,000 election monitors to polling stations across the United States. That is false. In the past, the Justice Department has sent at most hundreds of election monitors to safeguard voting rights and access to the ballot. The Trump DOJ's Civil Rights Division, led by longstanding election deniers, has an explicit mission to chase a phantom voter fraud epidemic on a previously unheard-of scale.
