Singapore needs more young blood donors. Could K-pop help? Singapore’s youth donor pool has more than halved in a decade, from 20,108 donors in 2015 to 9,629 in 2025. To attract younger donors, the Singapore Red Cross teamed up with K-pop boy band ENHYPEN, offering official photo cards during a three-week campaign in July 2026. For Tan Shi Qin, the incentive prompted her to donate for the first time. “Now that I have done it once, I feel like I would go back for the next round because I know how meaningful it will be to donate blood,” she said. The campaign drew 1,192 registrations, with close to 40% from youths aged 16 to 25. The bigger question is whether those drawn in by the campaign will return to donate again.
