BBC veteran John Simpson says the TV licence fee “has had it”, warning that the corporation faces its worst-ever crisis and could disappear unless its funding is reformed. His comments have reignited the debate over how the BBC should pay its way. Former BBC presenter and That’s Life! star Adrian Mills joins Kevin O’Sullivan to discuss whether the licence fee’s days are numbered. Kevin takes aim at BBC executives described as earning “about 400 grand a year” and accuses the corporation’s bosses of being “addicted to the TV licence fee”. Mr Mills, who has repeatedly defended the BBC, acknowledges that things have to change as younger audiences turn to YouTube and Netflix. #bbc #licence #netflix #youtube Have you got a story?
