Anti-war demonstrators and trade union representatives marched through Athens on October 6, protesting U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio's visit to Greece and calling for an end to the U.S. and NATO military presence in the country. Protesters carrying Palestinian flags and banners gathered at Kotzia Square before marching through central Athens, where police blocked access to parliament. Demonstrators criticised Greece's military cooperation with Israel and the planned Achilles Shield air and missile defence system, while Rubio's visit focused on defence, energy and regional security as part of the Greece-U.S. Strategic Dialogue. #athens, #greece, #marcorubio, #rubio, #palestine, #gaza, #propalestine, #greeceprotests, #athensprotests, #nato, #usnato, #israel, #israelgaza, #middleeast, #greekpolitics, #militarybases, #usmilitary, #geopolitics, #breakingnews, #timesnowworld Stay connected with Times Now World for real-time global news and analysis: 🌐 Read full coverage: https://www
