France has been rocked by nationwide student protests, with clashes erupting in Paris as police fired tear gas and deployed water cannons while protesters blocked streets and fires burned in the capital. France’s Interior Ministry put nationwide turnout at 266,000, while organisers estimated 450,000. Students are demanding more resources, replacements for absent teachers, school renovations and changes to the Parcoursup university admissions system. U.S. President Donald Trump has offered a very different explanation, blaming what he called “out of control mass migration” and claiming the unrest was about Islam rather than schools. The protests’ stated demands, however, centre on education. Trump allies including Glenn Beck and Dave Rubin have also circulated footage of the unrest while linking the scenes to immigration and U.S. politics. #france #paris #franceprotests #studentprotests #donaldtrump #trump #macron #migration #parisprotests #worldnews Times Of India (TOI) Is The Lar
