Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku has been ordered to publicly withdraw his allegations that the Kikuyu community regards Kenya as its property or is collectively responsible for inequitable development and appointments in the country. In a determination issued a month after Ruku appeared before the commission, the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) said his remarks targeting the Mount Kenya West region risked creating contempt and division, while undermining the equal standing of members of the Kikuyu community.
