The mayor of the Albanian capital is ruling the city as an AI avatar from prison. Erion Veliaj, who leads Tirana, is in pre-trial detention facing charges over allegations of corruption and financial crimes. On Tuesday, he posted a video on Instagram that used AI to depict an avatar of himself addressing citizens.
