Polish President Karol Nawrocki joined eight-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao for a training and sparring session in Manila on Thursday during his visit to the Philippines. Nawrocki, a longtime combat sports enthusiast, stepped into the ring with Pacquiao and took part in training activities with the former world champion, who now serves as secretary of the Philippines’ National Anti-Poverty Commission. Pacquiao linked the meeting to the Philippines’ “Knockout Ang Kahirapan” anti-poverty initiative, saying the fight against poverty requires resilience and public service.
