Students marched through Brussels on Wednesday to protest cuts and reforms affecting French-language education in Belgium, including higher university registration fees, changes to teachers’ working conditions and job losses. The demonstration, organised by the Mars Attacks education collective, saw protesters chant, dance and carry placards criticising the government, including one reading “You wanted silence? Wrong generation.” Protesters said university fees could reach €1,200 and claimed more than 3,000 teachers had lost their jobs, while accusing authorities of pushing through reforms despite opposition. The Brussels demonstration comes amid wider student unrest in neighbouring France over education policy and public spending. #brussels #belgium #brusselsprotest #studentprotest #educationprotest #educationcuts #belgiumprotests #students #universityfees #educationreform #teachers #frenchlanguageeducation #europe #europeprotests #politics #breakingnews #worldnews #timesnowworld St
