The Opposition INDIA bloc is set to continue its protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar in New Delhi on Thursday, October 8, marking the third consecutive day of demonstrations. After a lunch meeting hosted by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge at Connaught Place, the MPs are expected to proceed towards Rajghat. The Opposition has been demanding Kumar’s resignation over its objections to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The protests follow detentions of Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and other MPs during earlier demonstrations.
