Dragon’s Dogma 2 was a fun yet slightly flawed title back in the day, but the developer has done well to make it everything it was meant to be with a comprehensive title update and a new expansion that can easily feel like it’s a showcase of what the game was always meant to be. It brings interesting new systems to work alongside the expansion to existing ones, creating a synchronicity between exploring the new frozen world of Norgan and taking on the insane new levels of challenge it brings to the table. It’s a balance between fresh touches and familiar elements that works well enough to make this one an expansion worth your time and money if you’re into games that make you earn the rewards they dole out.
