Home Office immigration officers raided addresses in London on Tuesday, arresting three people over a suspected network helping migrants fake being gay to win asylum. Two were held on suspicion of fraud and immigration offences, and a third for being in the UK illegally. Officials say the group charged £1,000 to £4,500 for staged photos and fake letters, mostly for Bangladeshi men. More than 100 claims are under review, and Shabana Mahmood vowed prosecutions.
