Mayor Zohran Mamdani responded to a quote from Pete Davidson in which the comedian claimed he doesn't know if the mayor has Staten Island's heart. In an exclusive interview, NY1's Errol Louis asked him how he tries to win over a borough where the people don't feel like they connect with him. "When we're talking about Staten Island, we're talking about so many New Yorkers who are looking to build their lives. One of the highest rates of home ownership of any borough in New York City. People are looking to set roots down. And we have to make it easier for them to do so. We have to make it easier for them to raise their kids there," Mamdani said. #NY1 #NYC #News #mamdani #zohranmamdani #politics #statenisland -------- For more on this and the latest NYC news: http://specne.ws/NY1YT Watch live news: http://specne.ws/YTliveSN Get the Spectrum News App on all your favorite devices: http://specne.ws/GetSNApp2
