Nigerian media entrepreneur Mo Abudu has opened a London cinema dedicated to African and Black films, driven in part by her experience growing up in England. She says she saw how little people knew about Africa, and heard despicable things being said about the continent as a result. Now, she wants to create a space where African and Black filmmakers can tell their own stories and take charge of the narrative.
