A person was shot and wounded by federal law enforcement agents in New York City’s Marble Hill neighborhood in the Bronx on Thursday, October 8, according to the New York Police Department. The individual was taken to a nearby hospital and was reported to be conscious and receiving medical attention. An NYPD spokesperson said the agents involved were part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which oversees agencies including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection. Federal authorities are investigating the incident, while city police said their officers were not involved. The shooting also sparked protests, with demonstrators condemning the presence of ICE and federal agents in the city and demanding an end to their operations. #newyork #newyorkshooting #dhs #ice #immigrationandcustomsenforcement #bronx #marblehill #federalagents #nypd #protests #usnews Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
