Iran has reportedly launched a fresh drone strike on Erbil, the capital of Iraq’s Kurdistan Region, targeting an Iranian Kurdish opposition site. Unverified footage circulating online shows a massive explosion lighting up the night sky, while air defence systems appear to attempt to intercept the incoming drone. Reports identified the target as the headquarters of the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK), but a separate report by Rudaw said explosive-laden drones struck a base belonging to the Khabat Organization of Iranian Kurdistan. The attack comes as Tehran intensifies its campaign against Iranian Kurdish opposition groups based in Iraq, accusing them of posing a security threat amid the ongoing war with the United States and Israel. Iran has warned that further strikes remain possible, raising concerns over the widening conflict and the security of Iraq’s Kurdistan Region. #iran #erbil #iraq #kurdistan #irandroneattack #shahed136 #kurdistanfreedomparty #pak #khabatorganization #iranwar
