New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is facing backlash over his statement surrounding the Oct. 7 vigil, as he called for space to mourn every life lost amid the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict. Mamdani said New Yorkers should not have to choose which deaths deserve mourning and which should be ignored, emphasizing the need to recognize the suffering of communities affected by the violence. His remarks have sparked a wider debate over grief, political leadership, and how New York should respond to the deeply divisive legacy of Oct. 7. #ZohranMamdani #Mamdani #NYCMayor #NewYorkCity #Oct7 #October7 #Oct7Vigil #IsraelGaza #GazaWar #IsraelHamasWar #NYCPolitics #MamdaniBacklash #Oct7Statement #NewYorkPolitics #PoliticalBacklash #NYCNews #BreakingNews #IsraelGazaConflict #Mourning #October7Vigil #GazaNews #IsraelNews #oneindianews #oneindiaenglish #breakingnews #worldnews #englishnewslive #englishnews #latestnews #news --------------------------------------------------------------------------
