US President Donald Trump says the United States will not attack Iran before the November 3, 2026 midterm elections, claiming Washington and Tehran are engaged in “productive” discussions to end the six-month-old war. The announcement comes as the conflict weighs on American fuel prices, Trump’s approval ratings and the Republican Party’s fight to retain control of Congress. Although both sides have exchanged proposals, key disputes remain over the Strait of Hormuz and Iran’s nuclear programme, and Trump has rejected Tehran’s latest offer. Is diplomacy moving towards an end to the war, or has Washington simply postponed its next decision until after the midterms? --- Donald Trump | USA Iran War | Trump Iran Statement | US Midterm Elections 2026 | Iran War Update | US Iran Talks | Trump November 3 Deadline | Strait Of Hormuz | Iran Oil Prices | Firstpost News | Firstpost #donaldtrump #usa #iran #usiranwar #iranwar #usmidterms #trumpiran #middleeastconflict #straitofhormuz #firstpost
