Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on his birthday during a meeting in Turkmenbashi on October 8, describing Russia as a friendly country and praising the development of bilateral relations. The leaders discussed trade, economic cooperation and the conflict in the Middle East. Putin said Moscow was ready to do everything in its power to help Tehran resolve the regional crisis, while Pezeshkian thanked Russia for opposing what he described as US unilateralism and attempts to dictate policies to other countries.
