With just one day remaining before the proposed October 10 protest in Delhi, organisers including the Cockroach Janta Party, AISF and SFI have alleged that activists and students are being detained or questioned across multiple states. Student groups claim protesters travelling to Delhi have been stopped in places including Madhya Pradesh, while organisers allege detentions, police visits and questioning of activists' families in several states. Meanwhile, Delhi Police have intensified security preparations, increased deployments and are monitoring mobilisation efforts ahead of the planned demonstration. As both sides present sharply different accounts, attention is turning to whether protesters will be able to reach Delhi and how authorities will respond on October 10.
