Many of us hesitate to take the next step because we are afraid of making mistakes. We worry about getting things wrong, disappointing others, or making decisions we might regret. But what if the experiences we call mistakes are actually the ones that help us grow? In this talk, Prof. Dr. Stoyana Natseva explores how the way we interpret our past can shape the way we see ourselves and approach the future. She introduces the idea of the Internal Autobiographical Map, a way of reflecting on life's difficult moments and achievements to understand the lessons, strengths, and experiences they have given us. From career setbacks to personal changes, she invites us to revisit the moments we once considered failures and ask what they taught us, how they shaped us, and what we can take forward. Her message is simple: we do not have to let our past mistakes define who we are today. We can learn from them, develop a new perspective, and make more conscious choices about the person we want to be
